EDMI is part of OSAKI International and Designs, and manufactures and sells electricity, gs and water meters throughout the world. As part of the conclusion of a restructuring process with EDMI (Australia and New Zealand) that included 4 divisions coming together as one, Shape Consulting conducted a Purposeful Teams™ program that included the use of the Corpus RIOS business planning methodology. The result has included not only an aligned team but also a business plan that is driving the business outcomes of EDMI – Australia and New Zealand. The process has also been repeated with each of the Divisions.
SPARQ Solutions is the ICT service provider to Ergon Energy and ENERGEX. Shape Consulting provided consulting services in the formation of the business in 2004. As part of this process, Shape Consulting provided some simple steps to align the business to its new Vision, Mission and Values. This included a total of 18 workshops, from the Executive team to the outdoor workforce implementing new cabling, that covered a range of topics including defining success and behaviours that aligned with the new values of the business. The business reported a 25% increase in engagement from a very low base to well higher than the industry standard in only 2 years and this program was a key ingredient to this success.
As part of a larger scale safety change project, Shape was involved in facilitating a Purposeful Teams™ intervention for Transdev NSW Asset Management Team. The team comprised of senior staff and their respective manager, who worked together with Shape Consulting from October through to December 2013. The Purposeful Teams™ intervention identified and harnessed issues of disconnectedness, lack of upward influence, and geographical dispersion to commence a transformational journey for the team – leveraging off these issues to form new strategic priorities and collective commitments. Upon follow-up in December 2013, the team was continuing to experience new-found energy and direction, working collaboratively as a team as opposed to reverting back to old habits of working in silos, as groups of individuals.
